American Indian Art Wood Carving of a

This extraordinary wood
carving is native american and is carved completely by hand out of a block
of wood. Carved in a curved form as if to mount on a post. It shows a shaman
with his fetishes clearly detailed. The deer beneath his chin and the bird
or eagle on his brow. Completely natural finished with varnish or laquer.
Artist and date unknown. It is not new, has some years since it was done.
Was purchased from an estate.
